This time around, we will be celebrating Fall Harvest with an intimate group.
Ubuntu is the essence of being a person. It means that we are people through other people. We cannot be fully human alone. We are made for interdependence, we are made for family. When you have Ubuntu, you embrace others. You are generous. You are compassionate. As humans, we are wired for other human connections and there is heaps of research indicating that this contact is essential for brain health. Humans begin deteriorating when in circumstances of extreme isolation. These times of lessened ‘live’ interactions have shown everyone the true meaning and essence of Ubuntu; we can not be fully human alone.
Ubuntu is why we felt the calling to host our Fall Harvest dinner. We are committed to ensuring safe distancing and practices, while still honoring the community and togetherness that humanity needs right now.
Featured Speakers | Dave and Vinny from Terp Street!
We are thrilled to announce that Dave and Vinny, co-owners of Terp Street, will be our featured speaker at Fall Harvest!
Terp Street was founded in 2018 by 2 co-workers, Dave and Micheal. Frustrated with the lack of transparency in the Connecticut Medical Marijuana Program, they created Terp Street to better educate and inform patients. At Terp Street, they strive to be leaders in the cannabis industry. Their aim is to continually educate and inform their patients and provide the highest quality information and accessories for their community.
Dave is a University of Connecticut pharmacist, Go Huskies! He has worked 15 years in the retail, clinical and dispensary sectors of the healthcare field. He has worked in the CT Medical Marijuana program for the past 2 years. His knowledge and experience is devoted to delivering the best care and outcome for his patients. He embraces and advocates changes that improve patient care. In his free time, Dave enjoys cooking new dishes, hiking New England and exploring new destinations.
Vinny is a UConn graduated pharmacist who has worked over 10 years in retail pharmacy. He just recently started working in the Medical Marijuana field and is enjoying it greatly. He is dedicated to helping and improving the overall health of each patient. In his free time, Vinny enjoys hiking, kayaking, and shooting pool.
